# Accounts

### Overview

The Custody Accounts API is designed to offer a robust interface to retrieve various types of account details. It is designed to allow for programmatic access to essential account identifiers, creation timestamps, last update information, and the status of accounts within the custody system.

---

### What will this help me with?

**Automated Reconciliation** — Facilitate automated reconciliation processes by programmatically accessing account statuses and details.

**Status Monitoring** — Easily monitor the operational status of individual accounts, helping in compliance and risk management.

**Audit and Reporting** — Retrieve account creation and last update timestamps, crucial for audit trails, regulatory reporting, and internal reconciliation processes.

---

### How it works

You are encouraged to use OAuth Token Authentication for this API which requires only client and secret key.

Our Accounts API can retrieve the last 12 months of data. All API responses will be paginated to ensure you are able to retrieve all necessary data.

#### To use the Custody Accounts API, you will:

#### Make the OAuth Token

Use post call and pass the API credentials to get the OAuth token.

#### Get accounts data

Use Get Account API with generated token and client id, to retrieve the account information. You may define the pagination as required using skip and take parameters.
