# Safekeeping Transactions

### Overview

The Safekeeping Transactions API is designed to offer a robust solution for developers to access and integrate recent securities transaction activity across individual safekeeping accounts. It is designed to provide comprehensive data for both End of Day and Intraday periods, allowing applications to monitor securities movements with precision. This granular access aims to support critical functions such as real-time portfolio tracking, efficient reconciliation processes, and detailed regulatory reporting.

---

### What will this help me with?

**Reconciliation and Operational Efficiency** — The API's granular, real-time, and end-of-day data, including specific settlement statuses (settled, failed, pending), enables automated matching against their internal records and those of their clients or prime brokers. This significantly reduces manual effort, accelerates the reconciliation process, and minimizes human errors.

**Improved Risk Management** — Real-time visibility into the settlement status of each trade allows custodians to monitor potential settlement failures. This early detection is crucial for managing operational risk, identifying counterparty issues, and taking timely corrective actions.

**Audit and Reporting** — Comprehensive and easily accessible transaction logs support internal and external audit processes, demonstrating robust operational controls and data integrity.

---

### How it works

You are encouraged to use OAuth Token Authentication for this API which requires only client and secret key.

The End-of-Day (EOD) API allows retrieval of historical securities transaction data for the past 12 months, while the Intraday API offers a real-time snapshot of transactions throughout the current trading day.

All API responses will be paginated to ensure you are able to retrieve all necessary data.

#### To use the Safekeeping Transactions API, you will:

#### Make the OAuth Token

Use post call and pass the API credentials to get the OAuth token.

#### Get accounts data

Use Get Transactions API with generated token and client id, to retrieve the account information. You may define the pagination as required using skip and take parameters.
