Overview

The Send Money API lets a customer send funds to another person in minutes using only the recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number — no account or routing numbers required. It’s ideal for splitting a bill, paying rent to a roommate, or reimbursing a friend.

What you can do

Send in seconds — Move money to anyone with an email or mobile number.

Request money — Send a payment request that the other person can approve.

Track status — Follow each payment from initiation through delivery with clear status updates.

Security requirements

Requests require an OAuth 2.0 access token with the payments:write scope. High-value payments may require step-up customer authentication. See the Authentication guide.
